3/4" thick solid square bar steel fireplace grate. We don't mislead you and measure the steel diagonally to claim that it is thicker than it actually is like others do. Has good heft and weighs in at 30 lbs. Made in the United States by Grate Wall of Fire using domestic U.S. steel. Key features include MIG welds, and six support feet which minimize sagging and prolong grate lifespan. Do the other grates you are considering only have four feet? Beware, they won't last very long regardless of their claims of being so-called "Lifetime Grates."
- Size: Measures 29¼" wide at base x 16¼" deep x 6¼" tall, clears 3¼" under the 7 crossbars.
- This grate allows the firewood to be lifted off the fireplace floor allowing air to better circulate.
- Solid construction: 7 steel cross bars, 6 support legs to minimize sagging and prolong lifespan of unit. Made from 3/4" square solid steel measured from flat to flat. We do not measure our steel corner to corner like other grate manufacturers. Weighs 30 lbs.
